The on-ramp with nine pages of licences — and a vanished stock listing
Banxa is B2B plumbing: the fiat-to-crypto on/off ramp embedded in wallets and exchanges, selling payment acceptance, compliance and liquidity through APIs. Its scale claims: $10B processed annually, 550M quotes, 150+ countries. Checked 2026-08-21.
On paper it is among the most licensed companies in this directory: a FinCEN MSB registration (31000255987782) plus a nine-page state-by-state US money-transmitter table under BNXA USA MTL Inc. (NMLS 2347615), a MiCA CASP authorisation from the Dutch AFM, an FCA cryptoasset registration in the UK (999863), AUSTRAC in Australia and FINTRAC in Canada — each under a differently named entity (EU Internet Ventures, Global Internet Ventures, Richmond Internet Ventures…), a lattice its own terms acknowledge.
The oddity this profile flags: Banxa was widely known as a TSX-V-listed company, and its own site no longer says so anywhere — the "Investors" footer link now redirects to the homepage, and no ticker or listing mention survives. Whatever the corporate reality, the company's own storefront has gone silent about it, and that silence is the fact we can verify.
Two smaller curiosities for completeness: its Georgia and Minnesota licences are registered "Doing Business as 'Axnab'" — Banxa backwards — and no price list is published ("partner pricing is flexible"). End users meet Banxa inside other products; merchants should ask for the fee schedule in writing.
