NOWPayments

NOWPayments is a crypto payment gateway from the ChangeNOW family: payment APIs, invoices, e-commerce plugins, donations, mass payouts and custody, advertising 300+ cryptocurrencies, a 1% starting fee and $10B processed since 2019. This profile exists chiefly as a warning label, and here is why. Checked 2026-08-21.

The contracting entity is FD Transfers LLC of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — no company number published, no licence or regulator claimed anywhere — and its terms of service state, in §15.1, that the services "are not rendered to residents or citizens of the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States of America". The same site publishes a /gb country version, links UK Trustpilot and cites a Forbes US ranking: the entire English marketing targets audiences its own contract excludes, "at their own risk".

The contradictions continue at a smaller scale: "non-custodial" on the About page versus a Custody product in the terms (provided by unnamed third parties); "0% payout fees" headlined above "starting from 1%" on the same page; three different coin counts (50+, 300+, 350+) across its own pages; and fiat withdrawal that turns out to be USDT-TRC20-to-EUR only, via a third party.

A merchant in the UK or US considering the 1% fee should read §15.1 before the pricing page: whatever the widget does, the company says the contract does not cover you. That is the review.
