"No payout denials" in the ads, "discretionary" in the fine print
Apex Trader Funding is one of the biggest futures prop firms: pay for a simulated evaluation ($25K to $150K virtual balances), hit the profit target, and trade a funded simulation where the new product line promises "100% Requested Rewards – No split". A sourcing note first: Apex geo-blocks entire countries — our own fetch was refused — so this profile draws on a 2026-07-30 archive copy of Apex's own pages, clearly marked as such.
The Risk Disclosure in its own footer is the text to read twice: everything is simulated, "no real capital is at risk and no live market execution occurs", payouts are "discretionary and subject to eligibility", and — remarkably — "Services are intended for U.S. users only". That last line coexists with marketing boasting traders in 100+ countries and a public payout ledger listing entries from GB, ES, MX and beyond. Both halves are Apex's own words.
Prices (list, before the permanent-looking "up to 90% off" coupons): EOD-trail evals $390-1,490, intraday $199-599, no-activation-fee variants up to $2,490, resets $80, with payouts from $500 minimum and per-request caps by account size. The entity is Apex Trader Funding Inc. of Austin, Texas — no licence claimed, which is the norm for simulated-trading firms.
The category question applies here as everywhere: you are buying evaluation attempts against rules (consistency percentages, trailing drawdowns) that most buyers fail. Price that reality, not the headline.
