Self-custodial Visa card; 4% cashback needs 100 GNO
Two different products now share this name, and the difference matters before you look for a sign-up button. Visited on 8 August 2026, gnosispay.com sells white-label card issuing to wallets, exchanges, neobanks and payment processors, on Startup and Enterprise tiers with custom pricing and contracts starting at two and three years. The consumer card still exists, but it reaches people through partner apps, and its rules live in the company help centre rather than on the marketing site.
The card itself is a Visa debit card that spends straight from a self-custodial Safe smart account holding EURe, GBPe or USDCe, at parity: a 10-euro purchase moves 10 EURe. It is issued by Monavate Limited under licence from Visa Europe, and Monavate is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as an electronic money institution under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011, firm reference 901097. The operator is Gnosis Pay Co Ltd, registered in England and Wales under 14919639; residents of the European Economic Area contract with a Portuguese entity instead. Eligibility covers selected countries in Europe and Latin America, the United Kingdom among them. The United States sits on the coming-soon list, so American readers cannot open one yet.
Running costs are unusually light. Its fees article, updated on 1 August 2026, lists zero transaction fee on purchases, zero mark-up on currency conversion beyond the Visa rate applied at the till, a free first card and 4.99 for a replacement. Cash is where it bites: five ATM withdrawals a month or 200 withdrawn in total, whichever arrives first, then 2% per withdrawal. Limits are 8,000 a day and 5,000 per transaction, with 500 a day and 250 per withdrawal at cash machines. Card payments themselves carry no blockchain gas.
Now the reward small print. The live scheme, called the Intermediary programme, runs from 9 November 2025 to 30 September 2026 and is funded by Gnosis Ltd. Both the rate and the weekly spend that earns it scale with the GNO balance sitting in the card Safe. Holding 0.1 GNO pays 1% on up to 250 dollars of weekly spending. One GNO pays 2% on 375. Ten GNO pays 3% on 500. One hundred GNO pays 4% on 1,250. An OG NFT, earned by spending a set amount in the first 30 days after activation, adds a further point to a ceiling of 5%. Balances are measured as the lowest amount held during a Sunday-to-Saturday snapshot, and payouts arrive the following Thursday in GNO on Gnosis Chain.
Two consequences are worth spelling out. The qualifying stake and the payout are the same token, so the money you must tie up to reach a tier and the value of what you collect rise and fall together. Second, the weekly cap does not roll over, and a long exclusion list keeps much ordinary spending out: cash withdrawals, money transfers, top-ups to wallets such as Revolut, Wise or PayPal, utilities, taxes, insurance premiums, donations and refunded purchases, whose cashback is clawed back.
